MEET THE MRS
Born in Toronto as a first-generation Greek-Canadian, she grew up with a strong heritage at home learning how to cook and entertain, preserving Greek traditions, and after graduating from university she pursued a career in fashion and moved to New York City in 1998.
Having tried her hand in many different creative pursuits, it wasn’t until she decided to move to Miami with her husband in 2009 to open her dream restaurant, Mandolin, that she found her calling. Utilizing her styling background, she was able to transform the space, which instantly transports guests to the Greek islands the minute you walk under the bougainvillea and through the blue gate. This was her first design project that set the tone for her brand.
It was this effortless combination of simple food and genuine hospitality that attracted Soho House & Co. to partner with Anastasia and Ahmet three years ago to bring Mandolin outposts to their London Shoreditch, Miami, Berlin and Istanbul houses for two seasons.
This is when she sharpened her sourcing skills internationally, finding unique products, specializing in tabletop with a mix of the unexpected, vintage and ethnic pieces which lead her to design collaborations with other hospitality brands. She is sought after for her effortless entertaining style, florals and tabletop touches at her restaurant and off-site for events with luxury brands and fashion creatives.
