MrsMandolin is my platform to share the things I love most in life. It's an extension of of the lifestyle we promote at our restaurant, Mandolin Aegean Bistro. To celebrate the simple pleasures that life rewards us with everyday. Sharing enriches our lives and connects us in ways that money can't buy. Sharing begins around a table for us. Our culture is to pass around food and to value food in its natural state appreciating recipes that have been around longer than us and respecting humble ingredients as well as the ones most prized. Traditions, culture, passions are all things that move me. It's important to keep those things alive and we do so through Stories that I've been fortunate to accumulate around a table. From recipes, hopes and dreams, passions, love stories to travel tips and more. As a novice restauranteur I came into the hospitality industry bright eyed and naive. I only one way of hosting. The way I was taught in my home. The Greek way of 'philoxenia' the generosity of one's spirit. A genuine way to greet someone as if they were coming to your home. I will continue this philoxenia by introducing you our friends, share our recipes, eagerly promote places we love, and tell you about places that inspire. If Greece was a season it would be summer. Eternal youth. Bare foot, beaches, the smell of the grill, sweet kisses, pink sunsets, honey colored skin.
